The article describes the boundaries between arbitration and civil proceedings, as many of the special characteristics – and advantages – that apply to commercial arbitration with the 2007 reform of the Danish Administration of Justice Act have been adopted by the civil court system, giving rise to new considerations when deciding on the most suitable venue for dispute resolution in Denmark.
